Questions from buyers worldwide.
Answers to the most common questions from wholesalers, garden centre buyers, and importers sourcing certified tissue-culture ornamental plants.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQs vary by species and pot size. For 9cm TC plantlets, the minimum is one full tray — typically 60–84 plants per species. For 2L–35L container specimens, minimums start at a full pallet (24–48 units depending on pot size). Mixed-species pallets are available for initial trial orders. Contact us for a current availability sheet with species-specific MOQs.
Which plant species do you currently produce?
We supply 12+ species from the HasBiotech tissue culture range: Musa (banana), Cordyline, Dianella, Loropetalum, Vaccinium, Kalanchoe, Lisianthus, Aronia, Dracaena, Berberis, Convolvulus, and seasonal additions. Every species is TC-certified and comes with full batch documentation. Request our current availability catalogue via the contact form.
What pot sizes do you supply?
We supply across the full size range — 9cm TC starter plantlets through to 35L containerised specimens. Standard sizes include 9cm, P9, P11, 1.5L, 2L, 5L, 10L, 20L, and 35L. Availability by size varies by species. Request the current stock list for specifics.
What is the lead time from confirmed order to delivery?
For in-stock TC plantlets, typically 2–3 weeks from confirmed purchase order to departure from Antalya. Transit time depends on destination — as little as 48–72 hours by airfreight to major hubs, or a few days by temperature-controlled road freight within the region. For made-to-order contract volumes, lead times depend on production scheduling — contact us to discuss frame contracts and advance booking.
What documentation accompanies every shipment?
Every BYS Flora International consignment includes: Turkish Phytosanitary Certificate (GKGM), TRACES.NT pre-notification, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, and a Batch Traceability Code. Virus Indexing Reports and MPS-ABC Batch Certificates are available on request. EU Plant Passports are issued by NVWA after successful border clearance.
How does import clearance work for TC plants from Türkiye?
Every destination has its own import requirements, and we prepare the full documentation set for each. Into the EU, for example: all consignments are pre-notified via TRACES.NT before departure from Antalya, then enter through a designated Border Control Post — typically Schiphol Airport for airfreight or Rotterdam/Venlo for road freight — where NVWA conducts documentary, identity, and physical checks. TC plants from certified laboratories with documented production protocols present a lower phytosanitary risk profile, which means fewer holds and faster clearance; once cleared, EU Plant Passports are issued and the consignment moves freely throughout the EU single market. For other markets, we supply the phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, and any destination-specific paperwork your customs authority requires.
What certifications does BYS Flora International hold?
Currently active: MPS-ABC environmental certificate issued, TRACES.NT registered, and GKGM phytosanitary protocol applied per shipment. In progress: GlobalG.A.P. / MPS-GAP, with the certification body engaged and the audit complete. Next: Royal FloraHolland supplier registration and full FSI compliance in 2027. See our Certifications page for the full timeline.
Do you supply year-round?
Yes. Tissue culture production is calendar-independent — there are no seasonal mother plant constraints. We can ship in January as reliably as in June. For buyers with annual frame contracts, we recommend advance scheduling to secure production slots for specific volumes and species.
What are your payment terms?
Standard terms for new accounts: 50% deposit on confirmed purchase order, balance against shipping documents. For established accounts with a trading history, extended terms are available. We accept SWIFT bank transfer in EUR or USD. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
